Back this time from Texas and bringing you almost twice the music than last time.

Memory For Me - Tina Vero. A poignant song that talks about love and addiction. In a heartfelt delivery, Tina brings an unfortunately all to familiar situation to us in a way that is real and to the point. The lyrics pull no punches and say what should be said more often.

You can check out more about Tina and her award-winning music, as well as pick up a CD and find out where she is performing over the next couple of months on her website.”

Possessed - Circus Mind. Circus Mind blends together a bunch of ingredients and let them simmer for a while, producing a creative gumbo that oozes sound that fills the room with pure drive. This is a great band doing great things. Their CD Silver Flower is well worth picking up and you can do that from their website.

Please take five minutes to complete our Listener Survey located on the sidebar. This gives us valuable information as to how we are doing and how we can improve Upbeat Radio.

Our brand new online music shop - Upbeat Sounds will be ready to go live in the next few days. Stay tuned for more updates.

Drunk On The Sun - Marilyn Rucker. The Wicked Wit of the West, Marilyn Rucker is best known for her humorous tunes, but she does have a serious side. Multi-award-winning, she studied piano performance at Texas State, but I think she is much more at home using her intelligent wit to knock out some great songs like this one.

Marilyn had one of her songs featured on the hit CBS show “King of Queens”. The song is called “I Love Your Smell”!

Check her out if you get the chance, in the Austin, TX area, or buy one of her CD’s, which, according to her website, is the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Say - Born To Oblivion. Power guitars, power vocals, power lyrics – just power-packed. Born To Oblivion, based in Florida, can also mix it up with some ballads, so when you feel the need to just sit back and chill for 3 or 4 minutes, they can do that too. Their debut CD has 2 handfulls of songs – all worth listening to.

Hey Love - Mary Abraham. With a little country flare, Mary Abraham has worked her way from promoting music and musicians to finally sharing her own with others. I think her music talks for itself, but if you go to her website you’ll find out more information about Mary – like her favorite books, TV shows and the fact that she has a crush on Dane Cook!

Sarting Over - Denise Donahue. An intelligent song from Denise Donahue. I really like the simple premise of “Starting Over”. Well produced, well sung.
